Human Skeleton Found!

About a fortnight ago a farmer named Alderson was digging turf at a place called Firs, situated at Swaledale Head, and when about two 1 and a half feet deep, he found the skeleton of a full-grown female. Attached to the skull was a large quantity of hair. The skeleton was 2 discovered about a mile from any dwelling house and a quarter of a mile from any road.

'Strictly' Comes To Gunnerside

Mr William Edmondson of ... Burnley, acted a judge in the great waltzing competition at the Rowleth Bottom Sports at Gunnerside (near Richmond) on Wednesday. Mr George Dunn, an ex Inspector of the Burnley Police Force is on the committee of these sports, which are very popular in Swaledale and district. Lord Rochdale was amongst those present last Wednesday, and expressed himself as highly delighted with the sports.
